At Alberni Elementary we work hard to create a safe, caring and stimulating "Community Of Learners" for our students. Teamwork between staff, students and parents is vital to the achievement of this goal. Safety, respect, responsibility and cooperation are our guiding principles.
We view each child as a developing, unique individual who has special gifts, talents and abilities that need to be nurtured so that he or she can become the best that he or she can be. We recognize that, while life is full of challenges, with the necessary knowledge, skills and strategies, as well as a positive attitude and a little dose of courage, these challenges can be met by each individual.
At Alberni, we are fully committed to the development of the basics of reading, writing, and mathematics. We are equally devoted to the development of learning for life.
